- Penile Extender (Traction Therapy)
The penile extender has the strongest scientific evidence for the treatment of curvature. Studies show that when used correctly:
- About 77% of the patients show some degree of improvement in the curvature.
- Approximately one-third (1/3) can achieve more expressive results.
However, it is important to manage expectations: about 24% of the patients show no improvement, even with proper use.
- Vacuum Pump
Vacuum pumps have much weaker evidence for curvature correction. Most studies show only a slight or insignificant improvement, and there is no solid evidence that their use alone reduces deformity.
ConclusionExtenders (traction therapy) can be useful in selected cases. The vacuum pump has a very limited role for this purpose and should not be used as a treatment for curvature alone.
